Bill Meek is not an academic; he hasn't utilized institutions or the grant system. Bill Meek is a Maverick. His artistic success has not been achieved through traditional methods or channels. He has followed his own heart's path and intuition, leading the way to flourish as an artist for over half a century.

Inspired to create since childhood, Bill opened his first studio in Northern California in 1978 focusing on woodworking. Soon after he discovered glass as a medium to create his artistic vision through.

Initially known for his glass carvings and etchings, by the mid 80’s his work became more sculptural and often abstract. Incorporating his self-taught glass methods into sculptures, fountains, lighting fixtures, and furniture, his innovative and unique style emerged.

Since that time, Bill has received incredible support from patrons resulting in his creating both large and small scale sculptures for countless collectors. His work is permanently placed in a multitude of private indoor and outdoor spaces around the USA including numerous spaces internationally.
